Before the trolley, the workers used a wheelbarrow. The wheelbarrow is small, and it carries between five to ten cinder blocks. With your trolley, you can load about fifteen and there is no effort involved in using it. They operate the trolley which cancels the effort immediately. It's wonderful.

SOLUMAT IDF is dedicated to supplying formwork, shoring, and collective safety equipment to VINCI Construction France in IdF.

The first presentation of the Kross truck took place in May 2019 on a DUMEZ site in la Défense. Mr Bastien Langlet, in charge of this rehabilitation project, was won over by the French Tech tool. The field testimonies highlighted the ease of handling props and shoring towers for this office refurbishment site which offers open, traffic-free floors.

 

Following this first trial, Davylyn Khambay, Kross construction manager, contacted the equipment manager of the formwork-shoring and safety division of SOLUMAT IDF to set up a first deployment of the Kross trolley in rental format. On this second site, the trolley that was to be used to assist the workers on the rehabilitation part of the project also found its use on the new construction part.

 

Seduced by this initial feedback, and confident of the productivity gains offered by the tool, SOLUMAT IDF decided to purchase three Kross by K-Ryole which have been deployed in test within the companies of VINCI Construction France. The construction sites concerned are the following:

  • BATEG: “Tours Duo” at the quays of Ivry
  • VERDOIA: “EPHAD Montereau” in Montereau Fault Yonne (77)
  • DUMEZ: heavy rehabilitation project in the 9th arrondissement of Paris

 

The tests and feedback from these first 3 investments are monitored by a working group representative of each division of VINCI Construction France in IdF, sunder the supervision of SOLUMAT IDF and in close collaboration with K-Ryole.

 

In parallel with these trials, VINCI Construction companies can obtain a trolley on hire via their SOLUMAT IDF, as DEGAINE construction company, a subsidiary specialising in historical monuments, has just done. Adapted to protected sites, Kross thus becomes a player in the renovation of the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF).

 

Finally, the fleet management solution proposed by K-Ryole, will probably be the solution chosen by SOLUMAT IDF. This new service provides our customers with inter-site logistics and permanent maintenance of our trolleys on your sites.
